Lucknow: Dial-112 broke records on Diwali, emergency calls were very high in number.
This Diwali day was very busy for Dial-112 in Lucknow. The police, which is ready to protect and help the people, broke the record in terms of emergency calls. On Diwali day, the police received a total of 1,01,805 emergency phone calls, in which the policemen took prompt action and provided assistance.
On this day, the police reached the spot and helped in more than 51 thousand cases, out of which people sought general help in 41,066 calls. Incidents of fire were reported in 1,974 cases, while 7,147 people appealed for medical assistance. Like every year, this time too, an increase in accidents and health problems was seen due to firecrackers and fireworks on Diwali.
The Dial-112 team responded to every call without stopping and played an important role in providing help to the people. This quick response of Lucknow Police has further strengthened the sense of security among the citizens.
